State Director

As a State Director, you will:
Assist the RA in ensuring the operational functions of the office are carried out in an effective manner, and that HUD programs are administered in a manner so as to (a) provide a coordinated approach to customer needs; (b) ensure that program delivery is effectively integrated, coordinated and leveraged to the maximum benefit of the Department; and (c) that cross-program delivery is executed to meet Departmental goals and commitments. Review and assimilates available information on local, state and national issues related to the Department's programs, policies, or specific actions of interest to the RA. Present the RA with the evaluations and recommendations as well as the views and reactions of interested parties in the geographic area covered by the office. Keeps informed all key activities in the assigned geographic area and advises the RA on emerging problems or issues. Advise and assist the RA in the resolution of cross-cutting policy and program problems. Develops recommendations for policies and procedures that have the potential to change the way current programs and services are carried out. Performs assignments involving high-level sensitive and controversial matters that come to the attention of the RA. Resolves most problems independently. On matters, which require the personal attention of the RA, the incumbent secures key information, develops viable alternatives, and makes recommendations on available avenues for resolution of such policy matters. You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. To be qualified for this position at the GS-14 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level. The specialized experience is defined as analyzing community development or housing programs to recommend solutions or improvements; examples of this could include:
Involved in the trainings or plans for disaster preparation.; OR Writing reports outlining community program findings and recommending appropriate actions to resolve problems and assure goal accomplishment.; OR Working with programs for persons living in poverty and working to help improve their outreach.Time-in-Grade:
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.Time After Competitive Appointment:
Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
