The incumbent provides direct support for a wide variety of upper level management & administrative duties. Oversees administrative coordination & support of all medical student, resident & associated health professions programs. Serves as the primary contact person for on-boarding of trainees, non-VA employee teaching faculty. Collects data on all incoming students, ensures training is complete prior to on boarding, schedules CPRS training, ensures that all appropriate paperwork is complete. Keeps accurate records & accounting of all trainees for the medical center & for OAA reporting. Ensures all required paperwork & computer access is ready when trainee arrives on station. Follows up with all trainees in regard to badging & computer access issues. Provides high level assistance to BLC management in the day-to-day operations & administrative oversight of BLC. Serves as the Education Service liaison & consultant to the Office of Information & Technology for information technology matters. Establishes & maintains positive, collaborative relationships with key contacts in WRJ, including the Police, Human Resources, Public Affairs, Patient Advocate, Travel Office, etc. to facilitate communications between BLC & WRJ VAMC. Serves in role of patient advocate for BLC when AO not available. This requires personally listening to Veterans or their families' concerns & assisting in the resolution & documentation of issues. Serves as liaison with building management when issues emerge. Assists with oversight of BLC volunteer program, which may include development of volunteer schedules, writing of volunteer position descriptions, assistance with background checks & PIV badge process. Provides administrative support for BLC staff meetings, which may include oversight of schedule & room calendar, audiovisual equipment & connections, & preparation/dissemination of Power Point presentations, agendas, & meeting minutes. Controls incoming & outgoing correspondence, reports, memoranda & other forms of written communication; routes materials to the appropriate staff members & performs follow-up tracking to ensure timely reply/action. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:

Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have 4 years above high school. OR, Combination:
Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
