We are currently looking for a Air Supervisor at our Burlington laboratory.
The Supervisor I provides technical and operational support to a specific laboratory area while participating in daily sample production. Responsibilities include but are not limited to scheduling and prioritizing work tasks, training, problem solving, implementing new procedures and methods, analyzing samples,reviewing and validating data and completing reports.
### Job Responsibilities
1. Coordinates work projects with project managers to appropriately prioritize
laboratory workload to meet client requirements.
2. Manages all in-house projects for an assigned department to ensure OTD and TAT requirements are
met.
3. Release samples to laboratory personnel and communicates due dates and TAT's. Responsible for
quality of samples to be analyzed.
4. Supervises Analysts to maximize productivity and ensure appropriate testing procedures in
compliance with QA and SOP requirements.
5. Prepares and analyzes samples for analysis based on method requirements.
6. Uploads data files to reporting system.
7. Reviews data produced in assigned department and authorizes its release.
8. Operates and maintains sophisticated analysis instrumentation requiring advanced and
specialized knowledge.
9. Communicates department issues and provides status reports to Operations Manager and/or Lab
Director and Project Managers.
10. Assist Department Manager to evaluate individual performance in yearly performance review as well as providing feedback on an on-going basis to lab personnel.
11. Trains all new analysts and upgrades staff on skills, equipment and procedures. Provides on-going performance feedback.
### Job Requirements
Education:
BS/BA in Chemistry or related field
Experience:
Minimum 6 years experience in a laboratory setting with 1 year supervisory experience
Knowledge
Analytical and/or General Science
Quality Assurance Plan

Laboratory safety rules and chemical hazards
Maintenance of laboratory instruments
