WPTZ/WNNE-TV, the Hearst Television NBC affiliate in the Burlington/Plattsburgh market, has an immediate opening for a Local Sales Account Executive. The A.E. is a dynamic position that is vital to the livelihood of the station. This position is responsible for both core and new account development. The Account Executive will be responsible for selling all WPTZ/WNNE platforms. We have opportunities at all three of our offices- Plattsburgh, NY, Colchester, VT and White River Junction, VT.

Responsibilities:
o Sell commercial time to local and/or regional advertisers and agencies. Includes on-air and digital media platforms.
o Generate new revenue by solicitation of new advertisers.
o Maintain and service current clients.
o Responsible for ensuring commercials are complete and ready to air on schedule.
o Responsible for orderly flow of all sales transactions, including overseeing preemptions and make-goods.
o Prepare creative presentations using rating services and other sources.
Requirements:Qualifications Requirements:
o Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record; use of personal vehicle for sales calls required
Education:Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Communications preferred, or the equivalent.
Experience:Experience Requirements:
o Previous media experience preferred.
o Knowledge of computer applications (MS Office) and ability to learn proprietary software (Wide Orbit, One Domain).
o Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
