Company Description Job Description The Apparel and Bags Merchandising Manager will drive the growth and evolution of Burton Snowboard's year round business in all direct-to-consumer channels.
Responsible for telling the Burton Apparel and Bags story through strategic assortment planning while growing both the top line and the profit line.
This position will create a unique shopping experience in Burton's flagship and online stores through curating a collection of goods which enhance the Burton lifestyle.
oWork with the Director of Retail to establish the short and long term Retail strategies for Apparel and Bags.
oResponsible for driving financial performance of Apparel and Bags.
Manage forecasting, inventory management, and markdown strategies to improve sales and margin performance.
oPartner with Marketing, Operations, Visual Merchandising and Retail Marketing on a collaborative effort to drive sales, achieve profitability and deliver a best-in-class consumer experience.
oInfluence investments to ensure that smart risks are being taken, basic businesses are protected and financial targets are met.
oMaintain a strong awareness of apparel and bags market trends.
oRemain ahead of the pack on footwear and accessory trends, cycles and business.
oEnsure feedback from store and department managers is incorporated appropriately into the buying process.
oDevelop appropriate SMU strategies for Flagship and Ecommerce.
oWork in partnership with Product teams to edit and assort the line, ensuring product supports Retail strategies.
oDevelop visual line plans showcasing unique stories, franchise styles, and collection breadth across multiple deliveries, collections, and sales platforms.
oVisually communicate assortment plans to ensure successful execution of floor-plans.
oCollaboratively develop and execute promotional calendar.
oActively participate in sales meetings and planning sessions.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or relevant field.

Years merchandising experience, working in a vertical retailer preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
