Job Description This position is responsible for monitoring compliance to information security policies and procedures for assigned business units.
II. Principal
Responsibilities:
Utilizes specialized knowledge of information security and broad knowledge of Information Technology to serve as primary information security resource for assigned divisions.
Monitors business unit compliance to information security policies and procedures.
Identifies noncompliance with information security policies and procedures. Performs risk assessments and provides advice and guidance on remediation of issues.
Conducts investigations, develops and defends positions and documents findings. Guides business unit through exception process.
Provides training programs and materials to assigned business units to ensure understanding and compliance to Information Security regulatory standards, processes and procedures.
Job Requirements III. Education/Experience Requirements:
College degree or equivalent work experience required.
3-5 years relevant experience.
IV. Additional Job Requirements:
Certification/License:
Active professional security certification (Security+, CISSP, GSEC, etc.) preferred.
Behavioral/Technical Skills:
Specialized knowledge of information security and related regulatory guidelines and a broad knowledge of information technology.
Excellent written and verbal skills are required to communicate regulatory information to a diverse audience and to educate business units as needed.
Excellent ability to foster and cultivate effective working relationships with assigned business units. Ability to influence business leaders to comply with policies and procedures.
Excellent ability to collaborate effectively with multiple business units.
Excellent analytical and research skills to conduct risk assessments and investigations in an effective manner.
