JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for all development and occasional Level 3 support activities related to clinical content updates for our flagship product, Enterprise EHR. This individual will also develop and expand our set of content editing tools, as well as providing SQL query and other database support to team members as needed to ensure that our content releases are of high quality and meet release project milestones. Our content releases are highly visible to our provider-users, and we strive for the highest levels of clinical and software quality with every release. Finally, we rely on the individual in this role to direct the management and updating of our development and testing environments, including the very important updating of our medication database and terminologies via the Allscripts Terminology Platform update process.

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES)
1. Content Release Delivery
a. Develop and enhance packaging scripts as needed for changing product functionality and to address issues
b. Develop and enhance Installation scripts for content releases to allow content release to be available for old as well as new product releases.
c. Smart testing to ensure that content updates function correctly on a variety of types of client configurations
d. Compliance with Allscripts configuration/installation software development policies and approaches
e. Clear, timely and consistent updates to and education for content installation packages to key internal stakeholders
f. Guided installation (beta) sites installation, with status checkpoints and timely support of any issues
2. Development of Content Tools
a. Enhance existing content tools for management and clinical maintenance of the CareGuide and note form libraries
b. Develop new tools as needed
3. Provide technical assistance to team members using SQL queries and other data analysis tools.
4. Content Update Support
a. Internal questions regarding technical aspects of content and packaging; provide updates and ongoing training to Support and Upgrade SMEs
b. Client escalations and installation questions from Support or Upgrades
c. Serve as key technical contact to outside partners
5. Environment Support: Maintain team environments and manage updates with new product releases. Maintain additional environments for testing installations and special projects.
6. Work closely with EEHR developers , QA team, Upgrades Technical Team, Configuration Management Team, Allscripts Terminology Platform Team, and other stakeholders
7. Content Future
a. Represent and advocate for the needs of the Clinical Content Team within the technical side of the Clinical Modules & Content Team and the broader Solution Development Organization
b. Work with other developers on new development projects that leverage existing content
i. Content sharing platform to allow clients to share their own customized content
ii. Specialty packaging of content updates
iii. Content sharing between EHR products
c. Provide technical overviews of EEHR content and how used within the product
## Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree or higher
Minimum 8 years'' experience in development of software applications
Familiarity with installer-related tools
Extensive SQL experience, SQL Server experience a plus
Prior experience with EHRs or in healthcare IT desired; knowledge of clinical terminologies, such as Snomed-CT, IMO, LOINC, etc., a plus.
Outstanding problem-solving and problem-seeking skills
Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting, including the use of Pivot Tables, slicers, etc.
Strong commitment to quality, precision, and team collaboration
Strong and clear oral and written communications skills
Excellent time management and project prioritization ability
Dedication to our clients'' success; this may involve very occasional after-hours or weekend triage for an update installation issue that is unresolvable by Support
Enjoys working on a highly collaborative team
Works well under pressure
