Summary:
The Accounts Payable Representative position is responsible for the entry and processing of travel & entertainment and SG&A invoices for multiple divisions within Burton. This position is also responsible for maintaining effective communications both internally and externally to ensure timely and accurate processing of travel & entertainment expenses and corporate credit card use. This includes being the in-house credit card processing specialist, tracking and reporting of expense reports, assisting the accounting group with year-end expense accruals, and analysis of travel & entertainment and SG&A expenses as needed.
Qualified candidates will have an Associate's degree in Accounting with 2-4 years applicable experience. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office knowledge is required with knowledge of SAP a plus. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills as you will be working with multiple employees within Burton. Additionally, candidate needs to be able to work under pressure and within deadlines. The successful candidate will be a fast learner and be adaptable to working with a variety of T&E related tasks.
Essential Functions:
Expense processing, recording and tracking on a daily basis
Provide support to the organization for travel in the form of guidance and management of company travel policies
Coordinating and tracking of corporate credit cards
Periodic review and audits of Travel & Entertainment and SG&A expenses
Work closely with the accounting team on the monthly reconciliation of accounts payable
Work closely with the accounting team at year end on expense accruals
Assist accounting team with analysis of T&E / SG&A expenses
Required Education and
Experience:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance
Two to Four years of experience in an accounting environment
