Human Resources Intern (Sports Management/Finance/Admin)

The HR Intern will support multiple projects in conjunction with the Human Resources department. They will participate in coordination of events, recruitment efforts and other HR projects. This person will learn overall HR processes and procedures.
Specific duties include:
Compose and/or update job descriptions and postings. Place job postings on appropriate sites and updates as necessary.
Help schedule candidate interviews for HR and hiring managers.
Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout recruiting process.
Contact references on selected candidates, prepares notes and provides feedback to hiring manager and HR Business Partner.
Update LinkedIn and other social media outlets with appropriate content to increase engagement among followers.
Complete other HR projects as needed.
The ideal candidate will be organized, and understand how to prioritize multiple projects, as well as contribute creative ideas to make processes more efficient and relevant to Burton. Qualified candidates will be a college student pursuing a Human Resources or Business degree, and will have a strong aptitude for sports and youth culture, preferably in the surf, skate and/or snowboard arena. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong computer skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
