The Information Assurance Analyst will support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software Information Assurance (IA) and Information Technology (IT) problems pertaining to the assigned unit computer and network environment. Responsibilities include:
o Support assigned unit daily missions within the scope listed below to include drill weekends, if required.
o Configure and manage enclave network environment IAW customer support policies, procedures, and standards.
o Develop IA related customer support policies, procedures, and standards.
o Assist with development of and maintain SAP Information Assurance Education and Training Program to include training of end users.
o Ensure all information systems (IS) are operated, maintained and disposed of in accordance with established security policies and practices IAW JAFAN 6/0, JAFAN 6/3 and the System Security Plan at the assigned unit.
o Ensure all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, and need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before granting access to the IS.
o Ensure configuration management (CM) for security-relevant IS software, hardware, and firmware is maintained and documented.
o Conduct audits of all SAP IS to ensure compliance with established policies and directives.
o Ensure that system recovery processes are monitored to ensure that security features and procedures are properly restored.
o Ensure all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.
o Ensure 100% control of all media within assigned unit SAPFs.
o Perform duties as Client Systems Technician (CST) and Information Assurance Officer (IAO) for NIPRNET, SIPRNET and JWICS located within assigned unit SAPFs in coordination with the assigned unit Communications Flight.
o Maintain COMSEC sub-account performing duties as COMSEC Responsible Officer for assigned unit in support of SAP requirements, to include TACLANE and STE equipment.
o Maintain IT Equipment Account as Custodian for all non-platform IT systems within assigned unit SAPFs.
o Maintain Supply Equipment Account for items within assigned unit SAPFs.
o Position requires 10% travel.
o Support unit exercises, deployments (as directed).
Position Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree in the Information Technology or Computer Security field with two years of experience or Associate s Degree in the Information Technology or Computer Security field with three years of experience or five years of experience with Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, and personal computers.
o Possess the ability to troubleshoot at the craftsman level computer hardware, peripherals, software, and network issues without technical assistance.
o Possess a proficient level of knowledge with Microsoft Office products. Experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and the implementation of computer security settings.
o Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 2 and Information Assurance Manager Level 1 within 6 months of the date of hire.
o Meet and maintain SAP and SCI eligibility criteria.
Security Requirements:U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD TS/SCI clearance based upon a SSBI completed within the last 5 years.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
