Role
Summary:
We are seeking an Account Administrator for our Burlington, Vermont office of our Captive Solutions group . The general duties of this position can be summed up as providing accounting, regulatory compliance and administrative functions for a portfolio of captive insurance companies and related clients.
Responsibilities:
Process invoices.
Promptly and efficiently answer lawyers routine queries and liaise with various internal business units.
Prepare routine correspondence for overseas and local banks.
Maintain investment receipts, fixed deposits, cheque deposit files and ensure that pending items are dealt with in a timely manner.
Provide information to auditors as requested.
Record accurately time spent daily on accounts.
Maintain accounts receivable records and cash receipts.
Maintain the accounts payable records.
Arrange payments other than accounts payable.
Process out-of-pocket expense data source, via invoices.
Monitor staff access to on-line local banks.
Input daily interest rates and input weekly foreign exchange rates.
Perform other administrative duties as requested by AMs and AEs.
Associates degree or higher with a concentration in Accounting, including a minimum of Accounting I, Accounting II, Intermediate Accounting I, Intermediate Accounting II and Federal Income Taxes or equivalent. Bachelerors Degree with concentration in Accounting desired. CPA desired.
Previous experience working with a general ledger accounting system. Experience in a multi-client, customer service oriented environment desired.
Experience preparing financial statements desired.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
