5 hours/week) Financial and Research Manager for the Lake Champlain Sea Grant Institute, Vermont Water Resources and Lake Studies Center, and the Northeastern States Research Cooperative.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to developing and supporting financial administration, monitoring, and analysis for programs; maintaining communications with award and subaward PIs, Sponsored Program Administration, and financial contacts; developing and managing research competitions, including developing and ensuring compliance with competition policies and maintaining compliance with National Environmental Policy Act requirements.
The position will serve as both the Research Program Coordinator and the Fiscal Manager representing Lake Champlain Sea Grant to the National Sea Grant Office.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience (or equivalent) in administration of complex programs required.
Experience managing complex program and project budgets including federal and non-federal cost share required.
Proven broad understanding of current research trends in natural resources and environmental sciences required.
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
Experience submitting and reporting materials via online portals.
Proven ability to work effectively in a large team.
Effective organizational and communication skills required.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with UVM Sponsored Projects Administration Familiarity with Peoplesoft Knowledge of Federal Uniform Guidance Familiarity with federal web portals such as Research.
