Job Description Burlington, VT Director, Patient Financial Services o Oversees the collection of amounts owed to hospital for health care services rendered score:
N/A and maintains net days in A/R to comply with target level established by Chief Financial Officer.
o Established processes to ensure payments received are accurate and in accordance with expected payment amounts.
o Ensures process is efficient and patient friendly, and handles patient billing complaints and any escalation of billing issues as necessary o Serves as organization''''''''''''''''s primary resource and expert in updating and maintaining the hospital''''''''''''''''s chargemaster in accordance with Hospital policies, and federal state and local laws and regulations.
o Develops processes to regularly review charges being recorded in the patient accounting systems to ensure they are timely, accurate and complete.
Works with department managers and others as appropriate to take corrective actions as necessary.
o Manages a team of 30 employees including one Supervisor, and effectively handles employee relations issues, recruitment and retention of staff, and engagement with team through hands on management and leadership.
Requirements:
o Bachelor''''''''''''''''s Degree in Business or related field, or the equivalent in experience.
o Minimum five years' experience working in a hospital patient financial services department.
o Minimum three years' experience managing a hospital or large physician practice billing department.
o Excellent oral and written communication skills.
o Good judgment, problem solving techniques, and organizational skills are essential.
o Understanding of state and federal billing, reporting and credit requirements.
o Medical coding certification preferred.
o 3 years experience in a medical office required o 3 years supervisory experience required Click here to apply.
