We are recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer to be a part of the Quality Assurance team within our Software Development Organization. This role will be a key member of the development team focusing on test automation, supporting quality initiatives, and management of software defects in our Burlington, VT office.
Responsibilities Include:
Write automation scripts for new features and build test scripts for legacy areas of the product to reduce dependency on manual tests.
Develop and maintain methods and libraries needed to rapidly grow and scale our automation suite.
Work with other members of the development team to ensure that quality is built in from the ground up.
Be a leader within the scrum team advocating for test driven development practices.
Research and develop an understanding of the business requirements for the product features being tested, including how the users use the features and possible impacts to user workflow.
Collaborate with product developers, business analysts, and technical support specialists regarding issues found during sprints.
Provide estimates and scoping of level of effort for the QA cycle, based on project documentation and application knowledge.
Lead impact analysis activities, identify risks, and provide mitigation options.
Create manual test cases and automated test scripts, and execute tests following agile development methodologies to ensure the delivery of quality products to all clients.
Execute functional, application, regression, and acceptance automated and manual tests.
Troubleshoot software problems; anticipate, research and identify root causes and resolve problems; escalate issues as appropriate.

## Job Requirements
Education & Experience Requirements:
This is an automation test engineer position and requires a software engineering background to be successful. This role does involve manual testing of functionality that has not yet been automated. Long term, it will involve manual testing for areas that are not able to be automated.
BS Degree in computer science, related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years programming experience with: C#, .NET, XML, WCF, IIS 6+
Ideal candidate will have 3
years in UI test automation. MS Coded UI, Ranorex, or Selenium experience preferred.
Experience with software development life cycle, testing methodologies, quality control, and quality assurance
Solid understanding of Agile development and testing methods (preferably using Scrum framework).
Experience working with Continuous Integration practices.
Web services testing experience.
Ability to demonstrate expertise in database technologies (SQL Server 2005
preferred).
Ability to demonstrate expertise in Operating Systems such as Windows Server 200X
Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills required
Resourcefulness and ability to take the initiative in development and completion of work projects
Ability to participate in, as well as promote, a team environment
Experience within the healthcare industry preferred
